TeamActiv Cricket with Dean ⚾️

This’s morning we worked with Dean on our batting skills. We learnt how to hold a bat correctly, how to aim and hit the ball and how to field correctly. We even had a game of ‘Rapid Fire Cricket’. One team managed to score 111 points and the other team scored 114! It was a close call and Emily won the match for her team, by scoring an amazing 17 points!

Well done to those of you who managed to improve on your mental maths score from last week and a special well done to Abdoukadri, who managed to achieve full marks on his test!

From looking at your tests it seems we need a little bit more practise on doubling and halving, have a go at this game to improve your skills… Good luck! 😀

Let’s see if any of you can get full marks next time 😄

✏️📖 SPaG in 5EC

image

This afternoon the Creative Chameleons have been identifying statements, commands and questions in SPaG. Brandon, Isabella, Peter and Kacper worked really well on this task and managed to get every question correct (that’s a whopping 40 questions!), well done all of you!

Can you write a command, then rewrite it as a question and a statement?
Here is my example to help you…

Command – Close the window Kacper.
Statement – Kacper closed the window.
Question – Can you close the window Kacper?

Remember that a command must include an imoderating everybody and tells you to do something, whereas a statement gives information about something.

This week I want you to think about another sense – taste. Just think of all the delicious or unpleasant things we eat. The prompt is:

…but it made my tongue tingle…

Make sure you think about your writing before you publish and really make it as imaginative as you can. Please check your links and your spelling and punctuation.
